The World (and I) travels to a school in the holy city of Varanasi and an ashram in Sonoma, exploring the lives of three men seeking meaning after great loss. Through a collage of settings and characters, the film contemplates reinvention, identity, and questions of how individuals – and the filmmaker himself – struggle to make sense of the world around them.
